Stepping Into Your Power Thru Pleasure

Stepping Into Your Power Thru Pleasure

What if pleasure was about more than sex?

As women, many of us were taught that intimacy is about performing for someone else’s pleasure instead of experiencing our own. We learn to focus on whether we're doing it “right,” whether our partner is enjoying themselves, and what we're supposed to want.

Eventually, that conditioning can make it harder to recognize what we actually want.  We stop listening to our bodies. We second-guess our instincts. We look outside ourselves for answers instead of trusting our gut  That doesn't just show up in the bedroom; it can show up in our relationships, our personal lives, and even our businesses.

Self-intimacy is about changing that relationship with yourself. It's asking, “What do I want?” and actually listening to the answer. It's noticing what feels good, what doesn't, what you need, and where you've been settling.

Pleasure is a biological experience, and paying attention to it helps bring us back into our bodies. It creates opportunities to slow down, connect with ourselves, and become more aware of what we enjoy and what we need.

That awareness builds confidence.  When you can advocate for your pleasure, you can advocate for your needs. When you become comfortable saying what you want, you're less likely to settle for what you don't., and when you learn to trust yourself in one area of your life, that confidence can follow you into others.

Pleasure isn't extra. It's practice.
